Introduction
The software chosen for this assignment is “News
Room” site in www.infolanka.lk
web site. This is a
news site with day to day news. This site contain local, foreign
and sport news. In addition to the news this contain many links to other
newspaper web sites, TV sites, web sites of local radio channels and so on.
There is a small menu on the top of the site but it
is very difficult to find. A latest user is unable to see that menu. On the
left hand side there is a list of newspapers. Although this home site contain
links to local TV channels and local radio channels user can’t find them at
once. They have to scroll to the bottom of the site to find them.
Although this site has many useful features users
can’t use them efficiently. Users have put large effort to find what they want.
That’s why we decided to improve is site.

date of the news post which have been published on the home page.
8. Save the news post for later
review.

particular post.

Me : Go to the News Room of Infolanka.lk web site
and begin asking questions.
User : take a look at web site.
Me : View older news articles of the site.
User : Scroll the page to bottom and search for older news articles. Even
user seems
confused and get excited.
Me :Ok ok. It seems its
difficult you to find that.
User : Yeah.
Me :Ok then. Can you view
full description of a news post?
User : Scroll to the top of the
page and search some time. Finally says I can’t because she is unable to find
it.
Me : Hmm. There is a place to
chat with people in this site. Can you find it?
User : Watch right hand side
and left hand side of the page. Then scroll to the bottom. After that because
she is unable to find it says “I can’t”.
Me : Ok. Can you find current
Date and Time?
User : Scroll to the top of the
site. But not find it.
Me : There is a place to view
list of local songs. Can you find it?
User : Look at web page some
time and didn’t find it.
Me : There is a page with
advertisements and there is a link to go to that page. Can you navigate to that
page?
User : Scroll to the bottom of
the page and again scroll to the top of the page.
Me : Is it difficult to find?
User : Yeah. I can’t find it.
Me : Find a date of a news
post.
User : seek the
web page some time. But not found it.
Me : Can you
save a news post?
User : Scroll to the top of the web page and
say I can’t.
Me : Can you find number of
views of an article?
User : Can’t find.
Me : Can you find the author
of a post?
User : Going to click on a
link. Finally omit the effort saying I can’t.
Me : OK
then. Thank you for support.
